The Mind Trust, UNCF to Host “Community Conversation” on School Finance Next Week

IndianapolisThe Mind Trust and UNCF will host another in a series of “Community Conversations,” which engage the local community in discussions around improving public education in Indianapolis, next week.

The topic of March’s panel discussion will be school finance. The conversation will address how schools are funded and factors that impact funding, including school type and student population.

For the past several years, The Mind Trust has partnered with UNCF, the nation’s largest
 and most effective minority education organization, to engage Indianapolis faith leaders, elected officials, educators, civic leaders and other key stakeholders in conversations about the best ways to improve educational opportunities in Indianapolis. Indianapolis was one of four cities selected by UNCF as a focus of its community engagement work in K-12 education.
