Stacy Helmuth (she/her/hers)
Senior Director of Development
As Senior Director of Development, Stacy Helmuth leads The Mind Trust’s development strategy and initiatives in order to expand the organization’s impact on education in Indianapolis. In her role, Stacy works to ensure The Mind Trust cultivates and stewards the resources it needs to provide robust programs, supports, and partnerships that lead to equitable and high-quality education options for all Indianapolis students. She is also a member of The Mind Trust’s Culture Committee.
Previously Stacy spent eight years at Fairbanks and Hope Academy, most recently as the Annual Giving Officer. Stacy oversaw all development efforts for both the drug and alcohol treatment and recovery center and charter high school. She served on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals for eight years. Stacy was recognized as one of Indy’s Most Pivotal Leaders in 2023 and one of Methodist Health Foundation’s Inspiring Leaders in 2015.
Stacy is a graduate of the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in public affairs with a focus on nonprofit management. Stacy and her husband, Jesse, have two daughters, Frannie and Junie, and a Boston Terrier named Hermie.
