The Mind Trust’s (TMT) Great Schools team (GST) is an integral part of the organization’s broader Impact group. The Impact group of teams includes the GST, Communications, Community Engagement, EmpowerED Families, and Development teams. The GST drives initiatives that strengthen the quality of and support the sustainability of our city’s autonomous schools. Each team member plays a key role in both the in-school and out-of-school programming, ensuring that the needs of both students and educators are met. Together, this team’s efforts are essential in shaping an inclusive and high-quality educational landscape for all Indianapolis students.

Senior Vice President of Schools
Kelli Marshall
As Senior Vice President of Schools, Kelli Marshall oversees the organization’s school supports investment strategy, fostering the sustained success of high-quality schools for Indianapolis students. By leading student- and educator-focused initiatives—such as high-dosage tutoring, executive coaching, strategic planning, and out-of-school time programming—she ensures a tailored approach to strengthening Indianapolis’s educational ecosystem.

Director of Schools
Katina Knox
As Director of Schools, Katina Knox leads efforts to oversee and manage school supports investments aimed at improving educational outcomes for all students in Indianapolis’ charter and innovation schools. She stays informed about the evolving needs of the education sector and ensures that resources are aligned to effectively support both students and educators. Katina plays a key role in advancing the work of The Mind Trust by actively engaging with school leaders, education partners, and charter authorizers. Through GSTs collaboration with other TMT departments, she is instrumental in expanding access to high-quality educational opportunities across the city.

Director of School Support and Out-of-School Programs
Jazmin Sanders
As the Director of School Support and Out-of-School Programs, Jazmin Sanders plays a key role in advancing educational opportunities for students in Indianapolis by leading Indy Summer Learning Labs. She develops and implements out-of-school programming, ensuring these initiatives uphold the highest standards of quality and accessibility. She drives the planning and execution of this impactful program, and provides strategic oversight and operational support, through ISLL and other initiatives that enhance student learning experiences and strengthen community and school partnerships.

Monica Casillas
As Project Manager of School Supports, Monica Casillas ensures the seamless execution of initiatives that advance The Mind Trust’s mission. She provides comprehensive administrative and project management support across talent initiatives, and other key projects for the Great Schools Team (GST). A core aspect of Monica’s role is monitoring funding initiatives and overseeing contract fulfillment, ensuring all efforts align with organizational goals and drive meaningful impact. She also plays a pivotal role in stakeholder communication, maintaining detailed records, and coordinating logistics to support team success. Her focus on streamlining processes and optimizing resources enables The Mind Trust to deliver on its mission of transforming public education in Indianapolis.
