Senior Director of Policy and Strategic Partnerships
As Senior Director of Policy and Strategic Partnerships, Mueller supports The Mind Trust’s legislative strategy and policy development efforts. In this role, she will lead policy research, analysis, and development processes in alignment with our goals and objectives.
Mueller most recently served as the Director of Legislative Affairs at the Indiana Department of Education, where she oversaw communication with external stakeholders, including members of the Indiana General Assembly, to ensure alignment with agency priorities, track legislation, and facilitate compliance with state and federal requirements for Indiana schools. Before that, she was the Director of Government Affairs at private advocacy groups. In these roles, she lobbied on behalf of members, defeated adverse legislation, built stakeholder coalitions, developed industry-friendly laws, and successfully collaborated on key legislative initiatives such as limiting Sunday alcohol sales and defeating statewide food and beverage taxes.
Mueller holds a bachelor’s degree in law and society from Purdue University, has a Juris Doctorate from McKinney School of Law, and is admitted to practice law in Indiana.
