As the Manager of Operations, Summer Learning Labs, Ricky Ganaishlal will support The Mind Trust’s Finance and Operations team. In this role, he will oversee operations, provide technical assistance, and manage projects to sustain and expand the Indy Summer Learning Labs statewide. He will collaborate with various teams and community partners to ensure successful implementation, requiring initiative, judgment, and independent decision-making skills.

As Assistant Center Director at Family Development Service since January 2023, Ricky collaborated closely with the Center Director to ensure effective implementation of the Head Start program’s early learning system. In that role, he oversaw staff management, budgeting, and monitoring systems critical to Family Development Service operations.

Previously, as Training Director at Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC), Ricky developed and enhanced the correctional curriculum, collaborating with stakeholders to improve training for community correction agencies. He also served as Communications Director, overseeing internal and external media initiatives to enhance public understanding of IDOC’s principles and practices. Prior roles include Re-Entry Monitor and Community Supervision Manager at Marion County Community Corrections, where he managed client compliance and implemented evidence-based practices to support offender rehabilitation. In addition, he has spent approximately 15 years working in Higher Education, both in Student Affairs and as an Instructor, demonstrating a deep commitment to supporting and educating students.

Ricky currently holds a Master of Science in Elementary Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, second language French with a minor in Women’s Studies from the State University of New York, College at Oswego. Currently, he is pursuing a Doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership at Marian University in Indianapolis, IN.
